Biomass wood pellets

We specialise in a personal delivery service direct to you pellet store, provided your store is reasonably easy to access (not up a steep, bramble strewn path etc.) we will deliver your pellets as close as possible to your store and can even arrange for the pellets to be placed DIRECTLY into your store for you. You need only ask.

Ground Source Heating

Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) use pipes which are buried in the garden to extract heat from the ground. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor or warm air heating systems and hot water in your home. GSHPs currently attract very generous RHI payments and the initial cost of the installation is soon recouped.

Combined heating & power systems

A Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant consists of an electrical generator, combined with equipment for recovering and using the heat produced by that generator. They can fuelled by wood gasification boilers using wood chips, pellets logs or briquettes or by domestic gas supplies. Combined Heat and Power (CHP), or co- generation as it is also known, is the process of capturing and using the waste heat produced by the generation of electricity. This can bring overall energy savings of up to 40%

Biomass Boiler Servicing

The biomass central heating systems most commonly installed burn wood pellets from strictly monitored, sustainably maintained forestry plantations. Some systems can also be fuelled by kiln dried logs or compresssed wood briquettes from the same sources giving the user more flexibility when selecting fuel sources. As they use specially grown timber any CO² produced is offset by the CO² captured by the growth of the timber. Making the systems effectively carbon neutral.

Our Services We can design, supply & install any size of domestic or industrial installation for Solar Hot Water, Solar Photo-Voltaic, Biomass Heating or Central Heating & Power system. We can also provide a prompt call-out service for emergency repairs on any of the above as well as a regular servicing regime to ensure your system is running at it’s optimum efficiency. Regular servicing is also a requirement of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). To ensure you receive RHI payments at least one service a year by a qualified engineer is recommended although experience has shown us that gauging service frequency by actual use of the boiler is more likely to yield the best results. A full service history for any system will also be required should you ever decide to sell your property.

Solar Photovoltaic

While the government as decimated the Feed in Tariffs (FiT) for solar PV it can still be a worthwhile investment when included as part of a major refurbishment project as it can add to the re-sale value & appeal of a property. Many local authorities now stipulate Solar PV as part of the specifications on new build properties. Recent improvements in battery technology has made the storage of generated Solar energy for use at night an affordable addition to existing Solar PV installations.

Air Source Heating

The Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) extracts heat from the outside air and distributes it indoors through heating and hot water systems. It is classified as a renewable heating technology, so property owners benefit from the Domestic or Non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.
